Origin and Properties of the Ingredients
The key active ingredient in the Sonett Laundry Powder is soap, made from various plant oils like palm, rapeseed, sunflower, and coconut oil. These oils are sourced entirely from organic or biodynamic farming. The soap performs multiple functions essential to washing: wetting, dissolving, and lifting dirt. Sodium carbonate (washing soda) is created by reacting calcium with common salt, while metasilicate is formed by melting quartz sand with sodium carbonate. Both sodium carbonate and metasilicate boost the alkalinity of the washing solution, helping remove grease and fat.

Zeolite A and phyllosilicate, derived from silicate rock, work as water softeners, preventing limescale build-up and trapping dirt particles, preventing them from resettling on fabrics. Fatty alcohol sulfate from coconut oil enhances the soap’s ability to break down fats and remove stains.
